Homemade Guacamole!

Sometimes, ideas for the things I do come from the oddest places. For example, I was reading a book about the Cure d’Ars and there was mention of lime trees. Somehow, this led me to look up the recipe for making guacamole. I don’t suppose the Ziploc bag of tortilla chips sitting next to me had anything to do with this…. πŸ™‚

So after looking up recipes, I decided that I had enough of the required ingredients (or close enough to it) to attempt this. Now.

I chopped up a tomato, an avocado, 2 cloves of garlic (because I don’t like onions), and added the juice of half a lemon, salt and pepper. I tossed it all into the blender, where I took a moment to admire it’s beauty:

Before giving it an inglorious blender death:

Then, transferring my new guacamole to a small bowl, where it will “set the flavors” while I’m at Mass. πŸ™‚

Can’t wait to try it! πŸ™‚
